Meet Judge Manning

Judge Nathan Manning is a former prosecutor for the City of North Ridgeville and Put-In-Bay. He was also a practicing attorney and owner of a law firm for nearly 20 years. Manning received a B.A. in Political Science from Denison University, and earned a Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School.

In 2026, Manning was appointed by Governor Mike DeWine to serve on the Ninth District Court of Appeals. The Court reviews cases in Lorain, Medina, Summit and Wayne Counties.

Previously elected to the Ohio Legislature for 12 years, Manning served as Chair of the Judiciary Committee in the Ohio Senate and Chair of Criminal Justice Committee in the Ohio House. A former state legislator, he understands that judges should not legislate from the bench. It’s only their job to interpret the law as written.

Judge Manning has been endorsed this election by Cleveland.com, the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram, and the Fraternal Order of Police, Lorain Lodge #3.

A lifelong resident of Lorain County, Manning is in involved in organizations such as the Lorain County Bar Association and the North Ridgeville Chamber of Commerce.
